Core4Training®, Volume 1

Welcome to my Core4Training® System.  As a Chriopractor and through my experience in martial arts and bodybuilding, I have come to learn that one of the essential pieces to health is "core training."  There is a heightened interest today in the "core training" and many claim to enhance "core strength" in their exercise program.  However, there is a large discrepancy that lies between the implementation of core excercise and actually using core anatomy properly during those exercises.  Many have informed me that they are using "core drills" while they exercise but they actually have little knowledge of what the term "core" means and cannot demonstrate core control when asked to do so.  I would propose that there are four major muscle groups that act to maintain the efficiency of the core.  They are found within the neck, shoulders, low back and pelvis.  I have called these four groups the "Core4®."  Imbalances within those regions will lead to deconditioning, a process that leads to injury if not corrected.

®
Dr. Jenkins will define the "core" and introduce the Core4™ posture.

Dr. Jenkins will apply the Core4® posture to traditional floor exercises.
